"So far this year, the rainfall in Huaping county's mango district is relatively average. Even though the cold air currents of the beginning and end of spring 2016 had an influence on the small amount of mango trees that were blooming at that time, the influence was very limited. When compared to the same period last year, the production output of mangoes this year is stable. The average market price is going up 15% to 25%," explains Mr. Xie Yong, a man who has several years of experience in the field of mango cultivation and who is recently forming a joint company with some of his colleagues.

"Our cultivation base is located in the high-quality production district of Guozi in Huaping county, Yunnan province. The self-owned base covers some 133 hectares, when measuring the consolidated natural resources, but the whole controlled area is 667 hectares more or less in surface."

"Huaping district is the most northern mango district of China, and it is also the best area for high-quality late-ripe mangoes. The total cultivation area of the whole county is approximately12,000 hectares. Due to geographic and climate conditions, the mangoes ripen late. Compared to similar varieties in Southern provinces, these mangoes are harvested four to five months later. They are also one and a half month later ripe then those of Guanxi province's and 20 days later than the mangoes from Sichuan province Panzhihua city. Secondly, the flavor is rich and the nutritional content is high. Thirdly, the colour of the fruit is bright. There is plenty of sunlight during de Huaping district ripening season, which is reflected in the variety's purple, red, orange and yellow colours."

"The Huaping mangoes blossom during the end of February and March, they come on the market from July to the beginning of November. August to October are the peak season."

"In 2010, we started implementing pollution free cultivation. We carried out a green food base authentication for an area of some 67 hectares. The mango species cultivated here are mainly Shengxin, Keitt, Red Ivory, Renong and Jinhuang. Among these Shengxin and Keitt account for 50%. We are a mango demonstration zone and the government gives us support. With this government support, we have managed to standardise sorting and packaging procedures."

In the current stage, our mangoes are mainly sold through online platforms to Chinese final consumers in first tier cities, community supermarket chains and traditional wholesale markets. We aim at the best supermarkets, our goal is to fix the young and middle aged population as our consumers. We concentrate on managing our plantation, becoming the market supplier with premium quality and providing more professional services to our partners."
