It is reported, in March this year, APP of “the family of mother and baby” is found to claim “the nutritional ingredient of milk powder is very close to that of breast milk” in description of Aptamil infant formula (preliminary stage) on sale. According to provisions of Article 20 in new “Advertisement Law”, it is deemed as an illegal advertisement, and RMB 0.2 million is hence fined by the municipal industrial and commercial department. This is the first illegal advertising case of mobile APP investigated in Shanghai. See details.

On 15 June, AQSIQ reports information of nonconforming import foods and cosmetics in May 2016, including batch 184 nonconforming foods (relating to dairy products, liquors, honey, beverages, candies, teas and other food categories); the main causes for nonconformity include nonconformity in microbiological indicators; certificates or conformity certificate materials failing to be provided as required and nonconformity in quality indicators; exceeding of pollutants; over-limit use of food additives; and corruption mildew, etc. See details.
