It’s known that Thailand SyAqua has been doing white-leg shrimp breeding for 15 years, which owns a world-class fry base with a total quantity of 120, 000 fry of different species. With fine breeding environment and technology, it can exclusively choose and breed shrimp fry and meet their special requirements of the clients from different countries and regions.
Huang Liangsheng, the general manager of Zhuohai, said that they visited SyAqua personally last year to check and review the“Riyekuai”fry and found that this species had a relatively stronger disease-resistance ability. After many times communication and contact, He decided to cooperate with SyAqua in Thailand.
On April 27th, 2016, 1200 “Riyekuai”fry were stocked to Zhuohai reproduction base. And someone questioned that why Zhuohai waited to April this year to stock the first batch of fry in its base when they had started cooperation in May, 2015.
Mr. Huang Liangsheng stated that in the time about one year Zhuohai had submitted its breeding water quality, environmental index and statistics and so on to SyAqua to let it breed exclusive shrimp according to their requirements and Chinese farming environment. After many times tests and modification, they choose the high-growth rate and high-disease resistance “Riyekuai”shrimp.
Ambitious to challenge 80% farming success rate
After more than 50 days’ careful nurturing, the first batch of “Riyekuai” fry is going to be sold on market on 20th June. The total stocking quantity is estimated at 30 million-40 million, which will be mainly stocked in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian and Jiangsu province.
Mr. Huang Liangsheng aslo holds an positive attitude towards the market performance of “Riyekuai” fry. “In normal situation, this fry can grow into 30/jin in just 70 days with a whole success rate of 80%,” he said.
150 million “Riyekuai” fry is the market target Zhuohai sets up this year. As a new species of fry in Chinese market, the target is not a small challenge. Foodspath will keep an eye on its performance in near future.
