CFDA make interpretation to “Administrative Measures for Formula Registration of Infant Formula Milk Powder”
On 13June, 2016, China Food and Drug Administration makeinterpretation to previously published “Administrative Measures for Formula Registration of Infant Formula Milk Powder” and the contents concerned total 15 articles, in whicha special mention will be given to a certain transitional period about formula registration of infant formula milk powder, but at present relevant documents have not yet been released.The interpretation also specifies that only the domestic production enterprises of infant formula milk powderachieve the formula registration ofinfant formula milk powder according to the law and obtain the production license on the basis of provisions of “Measures for the Administration of Food Production Licenses”, can they organize the production of infant formula milk powder.
