The current market price: 2.5P 2600 ~ 2650 yen / kg, 3P 2750 ~ 2800 yen / kg, 4P 3100 yen / kg, 5P 3500 ~ 3600 yen / kg. Price for 4P above size live eel was almost the same as that produced in Japan. Although the prices of live eels produced in mainland China have been on the rise, the roasted eel processing plant said, “the quality of the eel is still the focus of attention.” Following this, the prices of live eels in Taiwan rose by 100 Yen/kg. Present market price was 2.5P, 2,300 yen / kg; 3P, 2800 yen / kg; 4P, 3100 yen / kg; 5P 3350 yen / kg.
In addition, Japan’s weekly import volume of live eels produced in mainland China remained at around 70 tons, the weekly import volume of live eels produced in Taiwan remained at around 10 tons.
