A promotional campaign for Polish apples was launched on 20 February in an Abu Dhabi Mall. The event was opened by the Ambassador in Abu Dhabi, Mr Robert Rostek, and by Mr Jerzy Żółcik, Member of the Association of Polish Fruit and Vegetable Distributors.
In the framework of this promotion, tastings of European bicolour apples have been organised in supermarkets in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, including Choithrams, Emirates Cooperative Society, Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society, West Zone, 7-Eleven, SPAR, Carrefour, Geant, ZOOM or Al Maya.
The planned promotional strategy is mainly aimed at promoting varieties grown across Europe, as well as in Poland, including, among others, Gala, Red Jonaprince, Idared, Gloster and Ligol.
