Faulty packaging has prompted Lifestyle Evolution to recall one lot of its NuGo Slim Crunchy Peanut Butter nutrition bars, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). During the manufacturing process, a product containing the milk allergen was incorrectly packaged in NuGo Slim Crunchy Peanut Butter wrappers, which do not list milk on their ingredient lists or in their allergen warning statements.

The recall is for Lot B16119A of the Slim Crunchy Peanut Butter nutrition bars. Packages are marked with the manufacturing code of B16119A and a “Best By” date of 28-Jul-17. The individual bars are labelled with the item number: 6 91535 20701 1; cartons of the bars are stamped with the item number: 6 91535 20702 8.

People who are allergic to milk may experience potentially fatal anaphylaxis shock if they consume these nutrition bars. If purchased, the products should be thrown away or returned to the store for a full refund.
