In the near future the price of carrots will drop, from a record 40 UAH/kg down to 20 UAH/kg (€1.30 to 0.65). Director of the Ukrainian Association of trade networks suppliers, Oleksiy Doroshenko: “Now there is a very large gap in the prices of carrots, between the market and store prices. Soon, the prices for carrot in the supermarket will decrease 40% percent, and maybe more.”
According to Doroshenko, the decline in the price of carrots will come about later this month. “The drop in prices will already be seen this month. Moreover, as the stores will receive the new harvest, the prices will fall weekly. So carrot prices will drop from a record 32-40 UAH to 20 UAH/kg.”
