These factors have led to a demand market with satisfying prices. "The price for white cabbage is at around EUR0,40 per kg", says Richard. The demand is coming from Western Europe, and it is wide. The cabbage is going to not only Germany, France, and England but also Spain and Italy.
It is now about cabbage from plots that were planted early. How the harvest for stored cabbage will look depends on the coming weeks. The current weather conditions make for fertile growth. "The majority of the cabbages will be harvested in October. We, therefore, have a few weeks to wait and see what the yields of storage cabbages will look", concludes Richard.
