The main reason for this development is as follows: The supply volume is small and demand is strong. When strawberries just entered the market, the price was unstable. The price was relatively high at first, but the sales volume was limited, and when demand exceeded supply, the price increased further.
The price is also high in comparison with the same period last year. Traders state that the price of strawberries increased by 4-5 yuan [0.58-0.72 USD] per 0.5 kg in comparison with last year. The main reason for this situation is that farmers planted strawberry plants early this year, in June and July.
