Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden and Switzerland were the top ten destinations for Spanish fresh fruit and vegetable exports in 2018, accounting for 85% of the total, which was worth 12,832 million Euro last year.

Italy, Poland, Belgium and Sweden recorded lower values than in 2017.

The first non-European country in the ranking, which was Canada, appears in position number 16. A 36% growth was recorded there, reaching 93.4 million Euro. A year earlier, the biggest non-European destination was Brazil, which has now dropped to position number 19, with 68.3 million Euro; 26% less than in 2017.

The data show that Europe, and especially the EU, continues being the biggest destination for Spanish fruit and vegetable exports, so the European Commission's commercial policy remains decisive for the future of the sector.
