Yesterday, French apple exporter Blue Whale celebrated its 50th anniversary in Montauban. Alain Vialaret - CEO of Blue Whale - and Christophe Belloc - President of the company - inaugurated the evening with a speech tracing the history of the cooperative, its beginning, challenges and extraordinary rise from 1969 till today, and concluded by unveiling, exclusively, the new logo.
Blue Whale’s ambitions
"We can be proud of all that we have accomplished today," explains Christophe Belloc, announcing the goal of doubling the activities of Blue Whale for the next ten years. The President also spoke of his company's ambition to position itself as "the French leader of French origin pears", and an essential reference in apples from eco-responsible production, certified organic, ZPR (Zero Pesticide Residue) or even HEV (High Environmental Value).
"We have a brand that is different and grabs attention," he said, announcing that, in the future, he wants to "use the strength of the Blue Whale brand" to reinforce the company’s image and increase the popularity of the brand even more.
The new logo unveiled
Finally, Christophe Belloc concluded this first part of the evening by announcing: "Our whale will remain our whale (...) but we could not celebrate the 50 years of Blue Whale without bringing a new image, a refresh to our logo". After a few minutes of suspense the iconic blue whale appeared on the screen. It displayed a modern silhouette and a radiant smile, ready to continue with enthusiasm and serenity, the Blue Whale adventure.
