According to data provided by Agrodata Peru, the Andean country exported 32,628,417 kilos of mandarins for an FOB value of $ 33,577,778 during the first eight months of 2019. These represent a moderate decrease compared to the 40,669,768 kilos shipped abroad for a value of $ 44,458,247 in the same period of 2018.
The United Kingdom was the main destination for the Peruvian mandarins between January and August 2019 with sales for $ 10,121,979 (30% of total exports). It was followed by the United States with 6,766,819 dollars, the Netherlands with 4,839,015 dollars, Canada with 4,790,585 dollars, Russia with 3,032,662 dollars, China with 1,077,133 dollars, Ireland with 881,008 dollars, Hong Kong with 855,713 dollars, and other destinations with smaller amounts.
The main exporting companies were: Consorcio de Productores de Fruta SA with sales for 11,690,110 dollars, Laran SAC Processor with $6,241,560, Coexa with $2,259,353, Sterling Peru SAC with $2,106,948, Asesorias e Inversiones Muva SAC with $1,612,542, Corporacion Fruticola de Chincha SAC with $1,515,303, Agrocosta Peru SAC with $1,444,283, and Agricola Las Marias SAC with $1,016,445, among others.
