Core Tip: Nestlé has partnered with Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in its continued push to support sustainable coffee farming across the country.
The Swiss food giant has reaffirmed its commitment to support more than 20,000 coffee farmer households in Vietnam.  It said it will source 30,000 tonnes of coffee from around 16,000 Vietnamese farmers each year.

The push aims to drive improved productivity through assistance in farming and distribution.

Building of a new US$270m coffee factory in the Dong Nai province is also set to commence in November and should be completed in 2013.

These investments mark part of Nestlé’s global Nescafé Plan focused on sustainable coffee farming, production and consumption.
