Reading Bakery Systems, a US-based technology company, has introduced a new system which can be used for multiple snack applications. The company noted that this feature can help manufacturers can lower costs and improve flexibility.

The company's Multi Crisp Baked Snack System can produce potato, wheat and corn masa flour-based snack.

The system has only one continuous mixer feeding production line, which facilitates the production of one product. However, a newly designed FX Continuous Mixer enables the mixing of different types of dough.

Reading Bakery marketing services manager told BakeryAndSnacks.com said that as the new system can be used for the production of multiple different products, the customer only has to buy one flexible system instead of one system for each separate product.

Reading Bakery said that Multi-Crisp Baked Snack System can produce 250 to 1,000 kg/hr of finished product, based on the number of oven zones.
