The burger line expansion created approximately 40 new jobs at the plant is expected it produce 11 million lbs. of burgers annually for retail, according to the company.

The new roll stock roast line became operational in May and uses a new form of packaging. The roll stock line's projected output is at 8 million lbs. of turkey breasts per year. The new line created 20 jobs at the facility. It also enables the company to achieve its overall sustainability goals, Butterball said.

A new tray pack line will begin production of packaged ground turkey for consumer markets starting in October. The new line is projected to produce approximately 14 million lbs. of ground turkey annually. It will require two new shifts, which translates to more than 30 local jobs.
