Smoothie chain Boost Juice set to expand UK footprint

Australia-based juice and smoothie chain Boost Juice Bars is set to quadruple its UK footprint after a capital fund acquired a minority stake for £2.5m.

The chain is set to debut in Scotland and plans to open 30 outlets in the coming three years. This expansion plan has been initiated after the chain sold the minority stake to the £2.5bn Business Growth Fund (BGF).

Boost Juice Bars co-founder Richard O'Sullivan said that the company is seeking to open stores in all major shopping centers of Scotland.

"As with all the other countries we operate in, we are confident that customers in Scotland will embrace the concept of a 'healthier treat'," Richard added.

Tha chain already has outlets of Millie's Cookies in Scotland.

With over 280 outlets operating in 20 countries globally, the juice bar offers a range of smoothies and juices including low-fat smoothies, Super smoothies, Sporty smoothies, Skinny smoothies, Lite smoothies, crushes, juices, snacks and boosters.
