Fifty Peruvian exporters of agricultural products will travel to Berlin, Germany, to participate in Fruit Logistica 2013, the world's leading trade fair for the fresh fruit and vegetable business.
According to Promperu, the commission responsible for promoting Peruvian exports and tourism, the country's presence will be highly visible thanks to its role as host country of the Feb. 6-8 event.
"As host country we will have a very strong visual presence on the fairgrounds and at the entrance to the fair," said Luis Torres, Promperu's Export Promotion Director.
Torres noted that the Peruvian stand will be 510m², which is twice the size of those generally used around Fruit Logistica.
The South American country officially sponsored its first national pavilion at Fruit Logistica in 2003 and, since then, the size of its exhibition space has increased significantly along with the number of exhibitors.
