Core Tip: Tapp Label Technologies (TLT) has purchased the assets of Ben Franklin Press & Label (BFP&L) of Napa, California for an undisclosed amount.
Tapp Label Technologies (TLT), a manufacturer of pressure sensitive labels for wine and spirits industry, has purchased the assets of Ben Franklin Press & Label (BFP&L) of Napa, California for an undisclosed amount.

Under the transaction, TLT with operations in Napa, California and Vancouver, Canada, has also hired around 30-36 employees of BFP&L.

Since establishment in 1983 by BFP&L president and general manager Dennis Patterson and proprietor Teri Ann Faychild, the company has been providing printed solutions such as pressure-sensitive and wet-glue/cut and stack labels for the wine and spirits industries.

Purchasing the assets of BFP&L will allow TLT to increase its offerings, which currently includes three distinct printing and packaging platforms - Waterless Offset Lithography, Flexography and Digital Offset.

Patterson said the acquisition will allow Tapp to offer customers with expanded goods, product lines and service capabilities.

"All of us at BFP&L are extremely pleased to join Tapp Label Technologies because of our like-minded commitment to our customers' success and how we approach serving the wine & spirits marketplace," Patterson added.
