Diageo, owner of Talisker distillery, is to open a new £1m visitor center at its distillery on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
The move follows the recent launch of Talisker Storm blend in 2013.
The Island single malt Scotch whiskey distillery, which is currently visited by around 60,000 guests per year, aims to increase that number with the opening of new visitor center that will house extra tasting rooms, reported Drinks International.
Talisker distillery manager Mark Lochhead was quoted by the website as saying that Talisker brand and distillery are growing in strength with people from all over the world are visiting the place.
"This investment has been a significant construction project which has brought work in the local economy and the increasing tourism will also have a great knock-on effect for local businesses," Lochhead added.
Diageo runs 28 Island single malt Scotch whiskey distilleries in Scotland, among which 12 have visitor centers. The new Talisker facility is expected to open by the Easter tourist season.
