The Coca-Cola has invested $42.9m in its manufacturing plant in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania to add an additional 50,000ft² to the existing 225,000ft² manufacturing space.
This investment will see a hotfill line installation to produce non-carbonated soft drinks such as PowerAde, Vitaminwater and Fuze.
To be operational in 2014, the new investment will create 28 new jobs in the plant. The soft drink maker has also added additional equipment and training for new employees at the facility.
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett said: "As governor, it is my priority to bring jobs back to Pennsylvania by unleashing the growth of the private sector."
The Department of Community and Economic Development of the state has granted a $56,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and a $12,600 Guaranteed Free Training grant for the company.
Lehigh Valley Coca-Cola plant manager Tim Fischbach said that the company is seeking a bright future in the Greater Lehigh Valley metropolitan region.
