Discounter Lidl is offering its Belgian customers the chance to design a cupcake on their Facebook page, with the three most popular variants then going into development at the end of the year.
The campaign is set to run for three weeks, with each week offering customers a new general theme for inspiration, such as classic flavours, exotic flavours and finally, chocolate.
Facebook fans are given four choices for each category in terms of cake, filling, topping and decoration. The retailer, which has some 150,000 fans on the popular social media site, hopes to offer the customer-designed cupcakes in-store in December.
