Accolade Wines North America is investing in Sonoma County, California-based winery Geyser Peak to craft a diverse and expressive portfolio of wines that best represent the region.

The initiative includes the launch of new packaging, an updated website along with new creative for Geyser Peak's marketing and point-of-sale materials.

In addition, Accolade Wines is reorganizing Geyser Peak's product line, along with expanding its core tier and introducing new entries such as a pair of red blends called Tectonic and Devil's Inkstand and a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir named Pluto's Fury to the brand's luxury and ultra-premium categories.

The three new offerings are expected to be launched in late 2013 and early 2014, the company said.

Accolade Wines has acquired Geyser Peak in June 2012 and has made a major investment in its brand and winemaking.

Commenting on the initiative, Accolade Wines North America managing director Tim Matz said that Geyser Peak is one of Sonoma County's most iconic wineries, and its wines have long been critically acclaimed.

"We wanted to build on these assets by presenting a fresh new design that underscores the brand's heritage while offering a strong, contemporary look," added Matz.

"We also see a robust market for luxury wines, and we're excited about our new high-end bottlings coming from exceptional Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley vineyards."
