The demand for apples for processing is still moderate in the Russian Federation due to low sales of end products with the most serious problems being faced by AJC (apple juice concentrate) manufacturers.

Nevertheless, taking into account a further decrease in supply of raw apples due to a seasonal factor, processing factories rarely revise purchase prices. At the moment, apples for processing are shipped at a price of RUB 4-6/kg (EUR 0.09-0.14/kg) in most cases. Only in some cases, do prices go down to RUB 3.50/kg (EUR 0.08/kg) in the southern regions of Russia.

At the same time, purchase prices are, on average, 25% higher year-on-year. In the same period of the previous season, apples were shipped for processing at no higher than RUB 3-5/kg (EUR 0.07-0.12/kg).
