Marine Harvest on Thursday released its preliminary numbers for the fourth quarter of 2014, including a total harvest volume of 103,000 metric tons (MT).
The salmon farmer’s EBIT rose to NOK 990 million (USD 161 million, EUR 118.5 million), up from NOK 64 million (USD 10.4 million, EUR 7.7 million) during the same time period last year.
Norway led harvest volumes with 68,000 MT, followed by Chile with 14,000 MT, Scotland with 12,000 MT and Canada with 6,000 MT.
Total operational EBIT per kilogram through the value chain was about NOK 12 (USD 1.95, EUR 1.44) for Norway, NOK 8.4 (USD 1.36, EUR 1) for Scotland, NOK 10.2 (USD 1.66, EUR 1.22) for Canada and NOK 2.5 (USD 0.41, EUR 0.30) for Chile.
