At Arava Export Growers, the general strategy is to approach challenges, such as increased competition and demands within the sector, with creative solutions and an innovative attitude. In response, the company has consolidated many of its products into one basket, carrying the Arava Brand. In addition to our existing line, we are also offering and implementing a wider range of Niche/Speciality products.

When it comes to Fresh Herbs, the company has expanded into Micro Herbs and Edible Flowers. Micro Herbs are a rather innovative culinary product that adds flavour and makes each and every dish more presentable and provocative. It comes packed in retail packs of 30 gr punnets or, 200 gr punnets for the more catering oriented consumers. Needless to mention, the colourful variation of the edible flowers, alongside the micro herbs and fresh herbs surely make a dish to remember.

Furthermore, weather conditions in recent weeks have paved the road for what seems to be a surprising season for Potatoes and Carrots. Varieties grown in Israel such as, Nairobi, Vivaldi, Durdon, Maestro, Dita and, Charlote had proven much success over the years and continued success is expected. "We can already see emerging markets showing interest in our varieties, our ability to pinpoint size variations and packaging has proven to meet over-demanding requirements by some clients".

Due to increased demand this year, Arava Export Growers is planning on expanding their Exotics line to include speciality Chilli Peppers varieties in the upcoming season. There had been a severe fig shortage during Christmas which effected many in the sector. Next season is set to commence in June and preparations are already being made for better availability. "The storm Israel experienced back in December halted most of the winter Fig production, however, we are sure to rise back up and be even better than better. We will have 3 different varieties this coming season at exceptional quality".

The Arava Region in Israel is known for its magical merits for growing Capsicums and Tomatoes. However, these aren’t the only products grown in the region. This season we have included Chilli Peppers, the Piatro and the RedFlame, and due to demand, Habaneros will be included next season as well.

"At the end of the day, we are all competing for the same clients and same products. For us to really differentiate and stick out there is a simple set of principles that we follow: Quality, Service, Reliability and, Specialities…., By specialities I mean to say that our clients can find at our disposal a wide range of products under the same brand, this is small addition that makes a huge difference" said by Omer Kamp.
