According to the Exporters Association (Adex), Peruvian exports to Panama, Costa Rica and Guatemala made 725.7 million dollars in revenue in 2013; 17% more than in the previous year.

This was the result of the increase in the country's traditional shipments (+32.9%), which made a total turnover of 512.7 million dollars, mainly due to the larger oil and natural gas shipments.

Meanwhile, agricultural products registered a 20.4% increase, with a total turnover of 43.6 million dollars.

Some of the products exported to Panama, Costa Rica and Guatemala, bringing the greatest returns, were grapes, onions, peppers, mandarins, asparagus, cocoa butter and passion fruit juice, amongst others.

Other products exported overseas by Peru, but not to Costa Rica, include Brazilian nuts and fruits preserved in syrup.

In Guatemala's case, some of the products exported were Brazilian nuts, bananas and avocados, amongst others.
