Core Tip: BC Tree Fruits have extended their partnership with Sutherland S.A. Produce for 3 more years to manage the export of the BC Tree Fruits cherry crop through to the 2016 season.
Following a successful export pilot project in 2013, BC Tree Fruits have extended their partnership with Sutherland S.A. Produce for 3 more years to manage the export of the BC Tree Fruits cherry crop through to the 2016 season.

With offices in Hong Kong, Spain and Canada, Sutherland S.A. Produce has over 20 years’ experience exporting and marketing cherries to destinations worldwide. This continuing partnership provides BC Tree Fruits export opportunities into international markets including Europe, China and the Middle East and forges new relationships for future produce export opportunities.

Lance McGinn, BC Tree Fruits Director of Sales comments, “We saw an increase in our international sales and export growth in the initial partnership with Clive, Richard and the Sutherland team, so we are very excited to finalize this multi-year partnership.”

"We are very pleased and excited to continue to work with BC Tree Fruits and support the over 500 growers within the fruit Co-Operative,” said Clive Sutherland, President of Sutherland S.A. Produce Inc.

BC Tree Fruits produces over 5 million pounds of cherries on average each season, including Lapin, Skeena, Sweetheart, Staccato and Sentennial varieties.
