Two Indiana cities including Anderson and Noblesville are offering incentives to Stone Brewing, a US-based craft brewery, to establish a $20m production brewery in their regions.

The craft beer maker has announced that it will establish a brewery in the east of the Mississippi River in 2014.

The brewery will have a capacity to produce and distribute 120,000 barrels of beer annually, with plans to expand it to 500,000 barrels. This expansion will create 150 jobs in the region.

Anderson economic development director Greg Winkler was quoted by indystar.com as saying that Anderson submitted two possible locations for the brewery, but declined to name them.

Winkler also added that Stone is looking for approximately 130,000ft² of space for the brewery, with room for a restaurant, retail store and a beer garden.

"This would be great for not only Anderson, but for the entire north side of Indianapolis."

Noblesville mayor John Ditslear was quoted by the news website as saying that his staff also submitted a bid for the project through the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
