Continental Mills, a Washington-based privately held manufacturer and marketer of food products, has completed the revamping of its recently purchased manufacturing facility in Effingham, Illinois.
The company made upgrades on its information technology systems, process controls and infrastructure, which allows it to increase its production capacity.
In 2014, the company has invested over $2m on the 19,000ft² facility that produces dry mixes for baking.
Continental Mills operations senior vice president Mike Meredith said this is an investment in Continental Mills and this community.
"The upgrades and improvements we have made position us well for long-term growth. We're proud to keep these jobs here in Effingham and expect to add more in the future," Meredith added.
Effingham Mayor Merv Gillenwater said the city of Effingham welcomes Continental Mills as a valued community partner.
"Their investment will help us grow our economy and strengthen our city. Today we see another great example of how Effingham is a great place to live and do business," Gillenwater added.
