Zoom in font  Zoom out font Published: 2015-05-14  Views: 13
Core Tip: Suma has recalled its unsalted Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter because it may contain a foreign body, which could be a choking hazard. The FSA has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

The product being recalled is:

Product: Suma unsalted Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter

‘Best before’ end:
 10 April 2016

Size: 700g

Batch code: 10.04.16 L1228

No other Suma products are known to be affected.

Suma has recalled the product from customers and displayed point-of-sale recall notices
in stores. These notices tell customers about the recall.

If you have bought the above product, do not consume it. Instead, return it to the
store from where it was bought for a refund.

If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it
might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked
to return the product). The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and
Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about
problems associated with food. In some cases, a 'Food Alert for Action' is issued. This
provides local authorities with details of specific action to be taken on behalf of consumers.
