Core Tip: Cherries were too tempting for a driver in Jestetten. His interest in the sweet fruits caused a traffic accident involving two cyclist.
According to police, a 68-year-old driver of a midsize sedan came out of the town centre and passed two cyclists and the town hall on Tuesday afternoon, on Jestetten Hauptstraße.

Here he remembered a stand with fresh cherries on the roadside, and he turned a sharp right into Homberg road. It collided with the two cyclists he just overtook. The 66-year-old cyclist fell and sustained injuries to his elbow and hip. The cyclist's injuries were partly sustained by the use of clipless pedals, he couldn’t get his shoes off the pedal fast enough. The car was only slightly damaged.
