“Class I” Recalls are classified as a “High Risk” health hazard situation by the FSIS. It is probable that people who are allergic to pecans may experience “serious, adverse health consequences or death” if they consume the chicken cous cous salad products.
Food Evolution’s “Mediterranean Style Cous Cous Salad with Sweet Basil Dressing” product was packaged in 12.01-ounce clear plastic containers and distributed to Roundy’s Supermarket locations in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The containers are marked with the establishment number “P-34309” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Packaged on March 31, 2017, they have a “Use By” date of April 7, 2017.
Food Evolution, LLC issued the recall after it was informed by Roundy’s Supermarkets that the product contained undeclared pecans. Consumers who purchased this product should dispose of it or return it to the store for a full refund.
