In the 2018/2019 campaign, more than half of Spanish zucchini exports (54.39%) were shipped to France and Germany at a price close to € 1 / kg, according to data from the Estacom statistical service (Icex-Tax Agency ), using TARIC codes (Tariff Integrated of the European Communities).
In the period between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019, France bought a total of 122.72 million kilos of Spanish zucchini for 113.01 million Euro, with an average of € 0.921 / kg. At the same time, Germany purchased 86.54 million kilos for 79.19 million Euro, with an average price of € 0.915 / kg.
During the campaign, Spain exported a total of 384.72 million kilos worth 342.04 million Euro, receiving an average price of € 0.899 / kg.
The third place in the ranking of largest importers of Spanish zucchini in the 2018/2019 campaign is fo the Netherlands, a country that bought 44.02 million kilos for 31.64 million Euro, thus paying an average price of € 0.719 / kg.
The fourth place is for the United Kingdom, with 40.14 million kilos, 34.98 million Euro and an average price of € 0.872 / kg.
Lastly, Italy ranks fifth with 15.07 million kilos, 13.58 million Euro and an average price of € 0.901 / kg.
