Core Tip: JBT FoodTech, an American food processing machinery provider owned by JBT, has signed a $5m contract for the renovation of freezing equipment at a US-based food processing facility.
Under the contract, JBT FoodTech will supply and support the customer in enhancing the existing freezing equipment to meet USDA's freezing standards for processed foods.

JBT FoodTech's food solutions and services division vice president and division manager Torbjorn Arvidsson said that the deal illustrates the technical support and field services of JBT in freezing technologies.

The project is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of this year.

Recently, the company secured a $4m contract to supply bakery freezing and chilling equipment to an international food and beverage manufacturer.

JBT designs, manufactures, tests and services technological advanced systems and products for industrial food processing customers through its JBT FoodTech segment and JBT AeroTech segment. It operates in about 25 countries globally.
