Core Tip: Farmland Foods launched a new line of fresh pork products called Oven Perfect Fresh Pork that comes ready to cook in the bag.
The cook-in-bag self-vents to ensure proper browning of the meat. The Mylar package is FDA approved and BPA-free. With the cook-in-bag, preparation is as easy as setting the oven temperature and timer, while clean-up is simply disposing the bag. Bringing even greater convenience to dinnertime, Oven Perfect can go directly from the refrigerator or freezer to the oven with no defrosting required.

Farmland said it would support the Oven Perfect launch with an integrated advertising campaign called "Dinner's In the Bag!" A television commercial features the James Brown Motown classic 'Papa's Got a Brand New Bag'. The campaign also includes radio, print, online advertising and social media integration, the company said.

“We have conducted extensive consumer research to understand the different types of pork consumers, what motivates them, and what needs are most important,” said Brendan Smith, vice president of marketing for Farmland. “A common theme across several consumer groups was an ongoing pursuit of a fresh, high quality, homemade meal solution without the time and hassle of starting from scratch. Oven Perfect delivers on this need, offering a wide range of fresh pork products that are simple and convenient to prepare while delivering juicy, tender, and delicious pork every time."

Farmland Oven Perfect Fresh Pork is available in the fresh meat case in a variety of cuts and flavors, including Teriyaki Sesame Ginger Tenderloin, Southwest Style Peppercorn Pork Chop, Parmesan Garlic Herb Loin Filet, BBQ Mesquite Baby Back Ribs and Portobello Pepper Filet of Pork.
