Cook Trading, a manufacturer of frozen ready meals, is recalling its own-brand Roasted Vegetable and Chickpea Tagine in the UK due to allergy risk, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

 

The product contains nuts, which are not mentioned on the label. Consumers who are allergic to nuts have been advised not to consume this product, as it may lead to severe reactions.

The product being recalled is Cook Roasted Vegetable and Chickpea Tagine, with a best before date of 22 April 2013.

Cook Trading is displaying customer notices in stores, explaining the reason behind the recall. In addition, the company will be contacting the relevant allergy support organizations, which will explain to their members why the product is being recalled.

Consumer can return the product for a full refund. No other Cook Trading products are known to be affected.
