Trinchero Family Estates, the owner of California-based family run winery Sutter Home Family Vineyards, has expanded the Sutter Home brand portfolio with the addition of two new wines - Pink Pinot Grigio and Red Moscato.
The Sutter Home Pink Pinot Grigio is made using grapes collected from California vineyards. The wine possesses crisp acidity which is balanced by strawberries and white peach.
Sutter Home Red Moscato is a blend of California Moscato and Merlot. The Red Moscato possesses strawberry and cherry aromas and sweet berry fruit and rose notes on the palate.
Trinchero Family Estates chief operating officer and president Bob Torkelson said the company has always believed in expansion and leveraging new trends is the best way to keep the Sutter Home brand relevant and remain on top in the industry.
"Our focus is to expand the number of wine drinkers and to help grow the wine industry overall," Torkelson added.
Sutter Home Family Vineyards marketing senior director Wendy Nyberg said Sutter Home has stayed relevant with consumers, by producing the wines they want.
"Pink Pinot Grigio and Red Moscato will resonate with wine drinkers -- especially Millennial of legal drinking age -- as these wines are accessible, in both price and style," Nyberg added.
The Red Moscato is currently available at select retail stores throughout the nation, while the Pink Pinot Grigio will be available nationally from November 2012.
