Trinchero Family Estates (TFE), through its spirits division Trinchero National Spirits (TNS), has added two new spirits, Sugar Island Spiced and Sugar Island Coconut rums, under its wholly owned and operated brand Sugar Island.

Made from Caribbean sugar cane, the rums are available in two flavors - Spiced and Coconut.

Established in September 2012, the TNS division was formed to highlight the portfolio of premium spirits that complements its wine brands.

The first spirits brands of the division were Cruz Tequila, and Tres Agaves Tequilas and Mixers. The company decided rum was the next in the line-up, as the category has reported continuous growth especially in the flavored segment that is led by spiced and coconut rums.

TFE president and chief operating officer Bob Torkelson said as wine and spirits have now surpassed beer as the leading alcoholic beverage of choice, TFE has the experience, innovation and distribution to provide consumers with the brands they want.

The Spiced and Coconut rums join Sugar Island's portfolio of more than 35 brands such as Ménage à Trois, Sutter Home, Trinchero Napa Valley, Napa Cellars, Terra d'Oro, SeaGlass, Fancy Pants, Trinity Oaks, Folie à Deux and Fre.
