Caribou Coffee has introduced limited-time-only Ho Ho Mint Mocha and Fa La Latte signature holiday beverages and expanded menu.
The US-based premium coffeehouse operator will also offer real butter and cream made caramel to give the beverages a rich, thick and deep flavor.
Fa La Latte is a blend of creamy eggnog mixed with espresso, whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg.
Ho Ho Mint Mocha is made up of milk, dark or white chocolate mocha with mint syrup, crushed peppermint candy with whipped cream on top.
Caribou has also expanded its holiday limited-time-only food and beverage line-up with Gingerbread, NEW Salted Caramel Budino and NEW Salted Caramel Mocha.
The company has reported a drop in net income to $1.7m for the third quarter of 2012 ended 30 September 2012 from $1.8m in the prior year period.
Coffeehouse sales increased by 4% to $61m in the reporting period compared to $58.7m in the third quarter of 2011.
Franchise sales rose by 45% to $4.3m from $3m the same period last year.
President and CEO Michael Tattersfield said Hurricane Sandy damaged a portion of the company's green coffee inventory in a third-party warehouse in New Jersey.
"We are currently assessing the extent of the damage, including the reclamation and usability potential of the product, as well as possible avenues for recovery. While this situation is rather unfortunate, we estimate our maximum liability will not exceed $5 million, and thankfully, our coffeehouse operations were not materially impacted by the storm."
