Celsius Holdings has partnered with Shanghai Honglu International Trade to introduce negative calorie beverage Celsius in China.
Celsius contains green tea extract, guarana seed extract, ginger root and minerals.
The company claims that the vitamin enriched drink reduces body fat, improves endurance, boosts metabolism and can burn up to 100 calories per serving.
The negative calorie drink is available in Sparkling Orange, Sparkling Cola, Sparkling Wild Berry, Raspberry Acai Green Tea, Apple Orchard Blend and Outrageous Orange flavors.
Shanghai Honglu will initially distribute the beverage in the major cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Celsius Holdings president and CEO Gerry David said: "As part of our global expansion initiatives, particularly in the Asian market, we will provide consumers there the opportunity to experience the great benefits of Celsius as consumers do in the U.S."
Shanghai Honglu managing director David Chang said: "Celsius is shown to burn calories, reduce body fat, energize metabolism, and provide lasting energy. The China-based import and export firm will distribute the beverage through health clubs, grocery, drug, government and direct response.
