Total catch of Icelandic vessels in November 2012 was 90,558 tonnes compared with 103,976 tonnes in November 2011, reports Statistics Iceland.
Demersal species accounted for 37,800 tonnes, thereof cod 19,500 tonnes, haddock 4,300 tonnes, redfish 5,100 tonnes and saithe 4,800 tonnes. The pelagic catch was 50,800 tonnes.
At constant prices the volume of the catch decreased by 17.4 per cent in November 2012 compared with November 2011.
