Italy-based coffee chain Lavazza is set to expand its ‘Lavazza Espression’ footprint across the UK by opening nearly 400 outlets nationwide.
Having its base in the region already with a standalone outlet in Manchester's Trafford Centre, Lavazza Espression is now eyeing to take a big leap in the UK market with plans underway to open the stores in Derby Westfield, Trinity Leeds, London and Newbury in due course.
In Greater London itself, about 50 Lavazza Espression outlets are likely to come up over the next three years, out of which the first store is slated to be opened in Villiers Street by Charing Cross station in April 2013, followed by one more on Cannon Street by June 2013.
Lavazza Espression is a new store format launched by the coffee giant in 2007, which offers a large selection of Italian coffees along with food items.
Cushman & Wakefield partner Matt Illingworth said: "Lavazza Espression is a new and exciting concept which will give UK customers a real taste and experience of Italy on their doorstep."
Besides Lavazza's coffees, the retail chain also offers a selection of more than 40 non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
