Brooklyn-based Acme Smoked Fish Corp. received BRC certification earlier this month, the company said in a release.
The certification recognizes a company’s meeting of strict global standards for food safety, hygiene and quality control.
“BRC Certification reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in food safety and quality across the entire organization. This accomplishment is made possible as a result of our entire team’s dedication to overall quality program,” said owner David Caslow. “I am proud to be a part of Acme’s enduring commitment to quality and food safety throughout four generations.”
The company, known for its smoked and pickled seafood products, is one of a small number of smoked seafood companies to earn the BRC certification.
