Kalsec® has expanded its presence in China with the appointment of two new managers and the addition of a new state-of-the-art applications lab in Shanghai that is scheduled to open in May 2013.
Chris Simons, formerly commercial manager of Kalsec® Europe, has been named the new country manager in China relocating from the United Kingdom to Shanghai. He has been with Kalsec since 2007 and has been managing various aspects of the Kalsec® China business for the past three years. Louis Rao has been appointed product applications manager Kalsec China. He previously worked at Unilever, Kraft and Nestlé.
In May, Kalsec will officially open its newest application laboratory at its Shanghai facility. The laboratory is equipped with the latest in food processing capabilities and will allow Kalsec to work closely with regional customers on concept and formulation development.
