Beam has added a new rum, Cruzan Velvet Cinn, under its Cruzan Rum brand portfolio to fill the gap of premium rum option in the growing rum horchata market.
Horchata is a Mexican milky drink that is mostly mixed with rum.
Made by Cruzan master distiller Gary Nelthropp, Cruzan Velvet Cinn features fine Cruzan Rum and flavors of cinnamon and sweet dairy cream.
Cruzan Velvet Cinn stands out among other horchatas by having a higher proof than others in the category. It can be consumed on its own, or mixed in a shot or can be used to make cocktails such as Cruzan Cinnful Cherry and Cruzan Cinnful Martini, created by Cruzan Rum master mixologist Jesse Card.
The rum is now available nationally at a suggested retail price of $19.99 per 750ml bottle.
Cruzan Velvet Cinn rum joins the Cruzan brand's portfolio of rums that include Cruzan Aged Light Rum, Cruzan Aged Dark Rum, Cruzan Black Strap Rum, Cruzan Single Barrel Rum, Cruzan 151 Proof Rum, Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum and 13 other flavored rums infused with natural flavors such as vanilla, coconut, key lime, passion fruit, mango and strawberry.
