Pork Farms, a UK-based chilled savory pastry products and pork pies producer, is set to introduce a new snack product - Bite Size Pork Pies.
This development follows a significant investment in manufacturing technology at the company's Queen's Drive facility.
The Bite Size Pork Pies, which will be launched at the end of this month, will comprise lightly seasoned pork baked in Pork Farms' famous crispy pastry and will be priced at £1.99 for a pack of ten.
Pork Farms is launching the new product to the 'mini mini' pork pie segment as part of its efforts to play a key role in the £40m mini savory snacking range.
Pork Farms managing director Chris Peters said with the growing trend for bite size products and eating on the go, the company thought it was a great opportunity to introduce a smaller version of the nation's favorite pork pie.
"As with all of Pork Farms products, it is important that our Bite Size Pork Pies are of the best quality possible," Peters added.
In order to take advantage of the growing demand for the mini savoury snacking range, the company invested in bespoke manufacturing technology that allows the production of the best mini pie product available on the market.
Pork Farms, which is privately owned following its acquisition by Vision Capital in 2007, specializes in chilled savory foods including pork pies, quiche, savory pies, sausage rolls, pasties, slices and scotch eggs. The company employs about 2,100 people across its four locations in the UK.
