Terlato Wines, a US-based wine marketer, has signed a deal with Marnier-Lapostolle to import and market its Marnier XO Cognac in the country.

Marnier XO Cognac is a blend of up to 30 rare and old eaux-de-vie made from 100% Grande Champagne Cognac.

As part of the deal, Terlato will introduce Marnier XO Cognac in key markets later in 2013.

Terlato Wines CEO William Terlato said Marnier Cognac is a perfect brand for their Artisan Spirits portfolio.

"We both agree that the luxury consumer expects and demands the best when it comes to Cognac. We are extremely pleased to introduce this exquisite XO Cognac to discerning American consumers," Terlato added.

The deal is the second between the two firms, which partnered for Lapostelle and Chateau de Sancerre wines in 2012.

Marnier-Lapostolle vice chairman Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle said they are developing an excellent relationship with the Terlato family through their Lapostolle and Château de Sancerre partnership.

"Now we are very pleased to open a new chapter, with Marnier Cognac," Marnier-Lapostolle added.

The Marnier XO Cognac will be sold for a suggested retail price of around $200 per 750ml bottle.
