pany specialising in the processing and selling of fennel, has inaugurated its Christmas packaging.A transparent protective film with the Season's Greetings caption is used on all plastic and wooden crates destined to Italy and abroad.
Marco Babbi, sales manager, explains that "consumption slightly increased in the last week, and high quality fennel is making €0.10-0.20 more in wholesales and €0.30 - 0.40 more in retailing. It could be because we are right before Christmas, or because we managed to hold prices, in fact everyone is working with their margins and not taking advantage of the increase in demand to skyrocket prices."
