A new ‘value-added’ beetrobeetot range, Love Beets, has been launched in Australia by family-owned and operated fresh produce company OneHarvest.

OneHarvest said its products are “100 per cent beetroot, no added sugar, salt or additives”, with each beetroot peeled, cooked and vacuum packed for “longer lasting freshness”.

The products can be merchandised ambient or chilled, which the Company said provides a product that is “versatile for retailers, and popular with Australian consumers”.

The original Love Beets will be available in major supermarkets, independent supermarkets and greengrocers from February 2014, RRP from $3 for a 250g pack. The full range of Love Beets, which will be launched soon, will include gourmet, flavour-infused beetroot.

OneHarvest has operated for three generations, and employs up to 1,000 people across Australia. Other products supplied by the Company include pre-packed salads and stir-fry vegetables, prepared deli salads, fresh chilled meals, avocados and B74 mangoes (marketed under the Calypso brand).
